David Luckert, Senior Pastor, Reverend David Luckert was appointed to St. John's after serving for 6 1/2 years as pastor at the First Methodist Church in Chandler, Texas. He graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1985. Rev. Luckert's wife, Cathy, is an elementary teacher. Daughter, Danae, and son, Ben, both attend school at Letourneau College. Rev. Carmen Rickel, Associate Pastor Carmen was born in Nebraska but grew up just down the road on the southwest side of Houston. She answered her call to ministry as an active participant and leader at the Wesley Foundation while attending Texas A&M University. After graduating with a BS in Sociology she attended Brite Divinity School at TCU to get her Masters in Divinity. Her first appointment was close to home in Orchard, TX. Carmen is passionate about missions, which has taken her into the prisons, down to Belize, across the ocean to Africa, and many communities in Texas to share the love of Jesus Christ. Tim Benson, Director of Music Ministries, Having grown up at St. John's Mr. Benson joined the staff as Youth Director in 1991 and became Director of Music Ministries in 1996. Since that time Mr. Benson has developed an exciting and growing music ministry touching all ages from children to adults. Claudia Dyle, Accompanist, Ms. Dyle joined the staff of St. John's in 1999. An accomplished organist and pianist Ms. Dyle brings to St. John's many musical gifts that add to the worship experience. June Brown, Membership & Finance Secretary, Ms. Brown joined the staff of St. John's in 1991. Ms. Brown has responsibility for the compilation and coordination of all membership and financial information. She has become a walking encyclopedia about St. John's. Melissa Rocha, Church Office Administrator, Ms. Rocha joined the St. John's staff in 2005. Although a "new comer" compared to some other staff membes, Ms. Rocha has established herself as one who can always be counted on to get things done. Krystin Kail, Head Nursery Attendant, Having grown up at St. John's, Ms. Kail now shares what she experienced by caring for the children of St. John's. Ms. Kail has served in the nursery since 2005. Kristin has been appointed Head Nursery Attendant because of her dedication to the nursery and her love for our children and their safety. Lupe Garcia, has joined the nursery attendants and comes to us with a special way of showing her love for children. She retired form the state school as a Home Supervisor after twenty eight years.. She said she still goes and visits with the individuals. It is evident that she loves working with children. We are delighted to have her working in our nursery.
