ST. JOHN'S YOUTH MINISTRIES

ALIVE is our Wednesday evening youth program.  We offer fellowship, sports, games and dinner every Wednesday evening.  Our Diner is open every week from 5:00 - 7:30 with a variety of menu items for the youth to purchase.  We also offer separate high energy worship for Jr. High (6^th-8^th grades) and Sr. High youth (9^th-12^th grades).  Our schedule is:

5:00 ALIVE doors open
6:15-7:00 Jr. High Worship
7:00-8:00 Sr. High Worship
7:30 Diner closes
8:00 Jr. High's leave
9:00 ALIVE doors close

ALL 6^TH-12^TH GRADE YOUTH ARE WELCOME!

ALIVE is all about teenagers experiencing Jesus alive in their life.  Our mssion is to compel the expression of God's love through friendship, worship and service.

YOUTH SUNDAY SCHOOL
Separate Sunday school classes for Jr. High and Sr. High meet from 9:45-10:45 each Sunday morning, including summers.  Jr. High's meet in Room 406 with Tony and Becky Rease leading and Sr. High's meet in Room 407 with Karen Murray leading.

CONFIRMATION
This class is open to youth from 8^th grade through 12^th grade and usually meets on Sunday afternnon beginning in January.  Confirmation is a journey that leads youth to confirm their baptism and make a personal commitment to Jesus Christ.  This class will also focus on Methodism and Christianity and learn about other religions as well.

DISTRICT CAMP
A week at Lakeview Methodist Conference Center in Palestine Texas.  Open to all children and youth who have completed the 4^th-12^th grades.  The dates for the summer of 2007 are June 11^th-15^th for youth who have completed the 10^th-12^th grades and June 18^th-22^nd for all other grades.

YOUTH MISSION OPPORTUNITIES
In addition to our monthly outreach to Compassion International, there are summer work camp opportunities including Big House (Jr. High) and U.M. Army (Sr. High).

ADVENTURES AND TRIPS
Winter Retreats to Lakeview, Mystery Trips, Choir Tour, Schlitterbahn, Houston Astro games and Christian Concerts are just a few of our yearly adventures and trips.
