Bible Study Opportunities

You shall put these words of  mine in your heart and soul, and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and fix them as an emblem on your forehead.

Deuteronomy 11:18

At St. John's we believe that as we study God's Word together, we share our knowledge, experience God's love, and grow in our faith. We believe that God's Holy Spirit leads us as we share our understanding of His Word with one another. Each Spring and Fall, several studies are chosen and take place at various times during the week. The church will attempt to provide free child care if the need arises.

2012 Spring Bible Studies

For Women:
James: Mercy Triumphs
by Beth Moore
Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m.
Sundays at 1:00 p.m.

James, Jesus' own brother, started out as a skeptic. See
how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an
unbeliever into a disciple. Bible scholars compare James
to the prophet Amos. In other ways, James more closely
resembles the Book of Proverbs than any other New
Testament book. Topics in this study include: joy,
hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor,
wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers
of the tongue, humility, and prayer. This is an 8-week
study beginning in February, Wednesdays at 9:30am and
Sundays at 1:00pm. Please sign up below or in 105 or the church office to make sure we have enough books for everyone.
Childcare will also be provided if it is needed.

For Men:
Monday Nite Quarterback Bible Study

Mondays at 7:00 p.m. in Room 105

All men are invited to St. John's Room 105 (the Gathering Room) each Monday evening at 7 p.m. for an informal, in-depth Bible study which will take a closer look at the sermon from the previous day. We will look at more Scripture and interact regarding how we can actually apply the message to our daily lives.
